On 22-23 February 2024, technical teams from the Ghana Boundary Commission and the National Land Boundary Commission of Togo convened for a two-day technical meeting in Accra to discuss the joint reaffirmation of the common international boundary line between Ghana and Togo. Discussions focused on modalities for the reaffirmation of additional 300 kilometres and the construction of new boundary pillars between Ghana and Togo.
The two parties demonstrated their commitment to the joint land boundary reaffirmation process with the signing of a communiqué at the end of the meeting. The meeting was facilitated by the GIZ/African Union Border Programme.
