On Wednesday, 21 May 2025, a delegation from the Ghana Boundary Commission, led by the Commissioner General, Brigadier General Anthony Ntem, paid a courtesy call on the Ambassador of Côte d’Ivoire to Ghana, H.E. Assiélou Félix TANON, at the Ivorian Embassy in Osu, Accra.
The visit, initiated by the Commissioner General, was to formally introduce himself following his assumption of office and to reaffirm the Commission’s commitment to deepening cross-border cooperation between Ghana and Côte d’Ivoire.
H.E. Ambassador Tanon emphasised that while borders physically separate countries, they should never divide people. He encouraged the Commission to go beyond the demarcation and delimitation of boundaries by championing development and social cohesion in border communities.
The Commissioner General expressed his gratitude for the warm reception and assured the Ambassador of continued collaboration to promote peaceful and clearly defined boundaries for lasting regional stability.
