Key Statistics
Ghana, continuously subscribing to existing International Treaty on its boundary demarcations, and maintains the clearly defined 2209 km approximate land boundary shared with neighboring Togo, La Cote d’Ivoire and Burkina Faso. That on maritime was not demarcated during the partitioning of Africa, hence the adjudicated maritime disputes between Ghana and La Cote d’Ivoire in 2017 and the ongoing maritime negotiations between Ghana and Togo. Irrespective of this, Ghana’s total maritime boundary is 235,391sqkm.
GhBC exists to inspect, maintain where unharmed, and remount where displaced, all boundary markings that characterizes the boundary line.
